As a former competitor in the grueling sports of bodybuilding and powerlifting, I know firsthand the immense value of chiropractic care. The intense training required to sculpt rock-hard physiques and hoist massive weights takes a brutal toll on even the strongest bodies. Joints ache, muscles burn, injuries accumulate.

But with the expert hands of a chiropractor realigning the spine, loosening up joints, and relieving pressure on nerves, an athlete's body can recover faster and perform at its peak. The right adjustments at the right time can be the difference between struggling through workouts in pain and feeling strong, limber and unstoppable. Trust me, every champion needs a great chiropractor in their corner.

Quotes from athletic Champions about Chiropractic.

“Since I’ve been in chiropractic, I’ve improved by leaps and bounds both mentally and physically.”

– Michael Jordan

“We’ve got to let the people know that there is a necessity — it’s not even an option; it’s a necessity — to have a chiropractor. As much as it is a necessity to have a dentist. If you have a dentist for the family, you should have your chiropractor for the family.”

– Arnold Schwarzenegger

“I have to have an adjustment before I go into the ring. I do believe in chiropractic. I found that going to a Chiropractor three times a week helps my performance. The majority of boxers go to get that edge.”

– Evander Holyfield

“I did a lot of things to stay in the game, but regular visits to my chiropractor were among the most important.”

– Jerry Rice

“I go see the chiropractor when I get bent out of shape on Sundays. Playing in a football game is like being in 30-40 car accidents.”

– Emmitt Smith

“Being a chiropractic patient has really helped me a lot. When I was in a growth spurt, my back became very sore and I was weak. My chiropractor really helped me. Not only did he adjust my spine, he also gave me strengthening exercises to do. If you are tall and gangly, like I am, or play sports, I would recommend chiropractic. It’s as important to my game as practicing my swing!”

– Tiger Woods

Radial Pressure Wave Therapy is a medical treatment that utilizes ultrasound technology to send high-energy radial pressure waves (RPWs) to the site of chronic pain. At the most basic level, RPW therapy stimulates new cell growth. It increases blood flow, stimulates muscle repair and regeneration, and increases metabolization at the cellular level. When you experience chronic pain, your body no longer recognizes that there is an injury to that area. As a result, it shuts down the healing process and you feel no relief. The sound waves penetrate deep through soft tissue, reaching a microtrauma or inflammatory condition. This reactivates the body’s natural healing response.

The energy emitted also causes the cells in the soft tissue to release certain bio-chemicals that intensify the body’s natural healing process. These bio-chemicals allow for the building of an array of microscopic new blood vessels in the soft tissue. RPW therapy applications include:

  • myofascial trigger points

  • disorders of tendon insertions

  • pulse vibration massage

  • pain and inflammation in orthopedic conditions

  • various musculoskeletal diseases

  • herniated, bulging, or degenerative discs

  • plantar fasciitis

  • recurring episodes or chronic neck or back pain

  • chronic headaches

  • neck or back injuries

Many people are not aware that Chiropractic goes beyond treating just neck and back pain. Every joint, muscle and organ in your body has a direct connection to your spine. The spine is a crucial part of the central nervous system, and it protects the spinal cord, which is an extension of the brain. Any issues or injuries in the spine can potentially impact the nervous system, including the transmission of signals to and from the brain. For example, conditions such as spinal cord injuries, herniated discs, or spinal stenosis can affect the functioning of the nervous system and, consequently, impact the brain. Additionally, the spine plays a role in supporting the body's posture and movement, which can also have indirect effects on brain function and overall well-being.

So how can Chiropractic care help me? The spinal chart provides a clear view of how Chiropractic care may help you with any issues or concerns.

One of the most overlooked, yet essential, aspects of brain health is regular spinal care. Legendary neuroscientist Dr. Roger Sperry, who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1981, said that “90% of the brain’s energy is used for posture alone.” He called the spine “the motor that drives the brain,” and stated that “90% of the nutrition and stimulation to the brain is generated by the movement of the spine.”Even if you have no issues, keeping up with a regular visit will ensure a healthier you, improved quality of life physically, mentally and emotionally.

That’s why you must take care of your spine if you want a healthy brain – keeping your spine mobile and correcting improper alignment influences every aspect of brain health, from blood circulation to protection from trauma to bathing your central nervous system with cerebrospinal fluid, which nourishes your brain and nerves.

Chiropractic adjustments reduce or eliminate distortion that interferes with normal spinal movement and mechanics, so visiting your chiropractor is one of the best things you can do to keep your spine healthy.
